Approach

Traditional Values meet True Attachment Parenting

Known as Authoritative Parenting in Psychology, Ashley’s approach encompasses loving,  responsive and nurturing care alongside boundaries and expectations.  Respect for a child’s voice or opinion through discussion, explanation and reasoning whilst recognising the adult authority as well as the child’s cognition and perspective. A nod to the original and unwarped meaning of attachment parenting devised by Psychologist John Bowlby.

Child Centred 

Throughout the courses Ashley’s aims are to always put the child at the centre. Readiness checklists and considerations ensure that children’s emotional and physical development are paramount in course recommendations whilst ensuring children are rising to appropriate expectations.

Evidence Based 

The advice and techniques recommended throughout the courses have been extensively researched and tested.  Any recommendations for safety or health are in line with National Guidelines, NHS and American Association of Paediatrics (AAP) who advise the WHO (World Health Organisation) on the international standards on childhood health and safety.
